A great place to start is at The Imaginarium Science Discovery Center at 737 West 5th Ave (5th between G and H) in Anchorage. The center has a great astronomy exhibit and can point you toward the Sun which is a half block away on the back corner of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts (corner of 5th and G Streets). Parking is available at the Municpal Transit Center garage (enter on H street between 6th and 7th).

Follow the inner planets along Fifth Avenue west to the beautiful Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. The signs continue south to Kincaid Park.
